3 March 2013

Feathers glowing gold
a pheasant hides the treasure
of early spring sun.

Not missing a curve
spring sun caresses the fields
like an old lover.

Sun and moon collide —
spring flowers reflected in
my neighbour’s window.

Returning spring time –
this year I watch the flowers
from my unmade bed.
