Solitude

Seeking solitude
I close my eyes and shut down
the voices remain.

  1. Lover of melancholic pieces of art, this haiku touches me. Sounds like the wearied mind of a tired body that has weathered the seasons of all the world with quiet fortitude.

Andy, I love weakness; but be strong. You should be strong. You have the energy inside. Just live that.

    • Thank you, both. Don’t worry, though, Thoithoi, this is only autobiographical in the sense that mental chatter is always present even when we are alone. I guess it is more supposed to represent the person worn down by their own inner voices but, fortunately, this is not a place I find myself in. Thank you for your concern, though.
