April 17

Low apple orchard
white blossom covers young trees
as if draped in lace.

  1. I let myself dream into the energetics of this Haiku.
In the dream, I was transported to a quiet place under the white apple blossoms. My spine could feel the elementals of the blossoms.

  2. That sounds just beautiful, Kate. In Irish mythology, apple trees are the gateway to the lands of the fae so maybe you got faeried!

  3. Modern haikus of American type have gone far off what I like. Your kus are so natural, so redolent of the Japanese masters of the olden times. The images, the vegetations, the seasons, times, flowers … they lull me.
